A Wunderbar Cocktail Cruise is more than just an evening out, it’s an unforgettable way to celebrate. With the city skyline as your backdrop and handcrafted drinks poured for you, it’s a setting that feels intimate, relaxed, and elevated. Whether you’re celebrating a special milestone or simply taking time to unwind, this boutique cruise will leave a lasting impression on your guests.

Enjoy a two-hour private harbour cruise for up to 20 guests, complete with light catering and a complimentary cocktail on arrival. Additional cocktails are available onboard ($22–$24).

The route is decided on departure following the breeze and ocean conditions, but we'll showcase Auckland’s most iconic views from the Harbour Bridge and Sky Tower, to the glimmering city skyline, and other classic Auckland scenes.

Choose to have your trip in the sunshine while you admire the glistening water and warm sea breeze, or as the sun sets and the skyline lights up; both options deliver an unforgettable experience. Afterward, we will drop you back to Z Pier where you can continue your celebrations. Maybe around the marina at 'First Mates, Last Laugh' or down the road at the Viaduct Harbour?

We take a maximum of 20 people on our Wunderbar Cocktail Cruise to ensure a comfortable, tailored experience. If you have more than 20 people, please contact us at info@riverheadferry.co.nz for special consideration.

What you'll see

We will cruise at a leisurely pace through Auckland's harbour. What you'll see will depend on safe water and wind direction, but we usually cruise towards the Jellicoe and Viaduct Harbour, Devonport then depending on wind and weather, right under the Harbour Bridge to the western Waitemata Harbour, into some of the harbour's most beautiful and sheltered waters. If you choose an evening cocktail cruise, the sunsets and the city lights are incredible!

Timing
Choose your own departure time at the time of booking your private cruise. The total cruise duration is 2 hours.

Drop off & Pick Up
Your pick-up location is now Z Pier, Westhaven Marina. If you want to be picked up from another wharf, let us know. Find out how to get to us here.

Food & Drink

Aboard the Riverhead Ferry choose from a range of cocktails, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as bar snacks available for purchase (Eftpos available!). Light catering is provided, please notify us of any allergies/dietary requirements within your party in advance.

Amenities On The Ferry

Licensed bar, flushing toilet (and private bathroom), AUX sound system, indoor and outdoor seating, dance floor. Please wear soft, comfortable, and supportive shoes — no gumboots, penny heels, and work boots. 

Onboard The Ferry

Play your own music using our Bluetooth sound system, while you enjoy the beautiful harbour scenery. You’ll have access to seating in the back and front of the boat, with comfortable indoor couches available to relax too. 

A 30% deposit is required to secure your booking. Full payment is required if booking within 28 days of your chosen date.
